Local Recovery Funding Resources in Northern Colorado
Recent local business relief programs that use federal CARES Act dollars have launched. Rules and eligibility for programs vary.
- Larimer County Small Business Relief (SBR) Program – These one-time relief payments (of up to $3,500 – $7,000 in financial assistance that does NOT have to be repaid), authorized by Senate Bill 20B-001, are available to locally owned small businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 restrictions including restaurants, bars, breweries, wineries, distilleries, fitness clubs, caterers, and movie theaters.
- Larimer County Small Business CEF COVID-19 Relief Loan – CEF is offering COVID Relief Loans with a maximum loan amount of $50,000 to businesses located in Larimer County that were existing and generating revenue pre-COVID.
- Weld County – The Weld County Service Industry Relief Fund seeks to provide financial assistance to eligible public-facing businesses located in Weld County that have been categorized as “high-risk” and mandated to close or substantially reduce services in response to the most recent needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Grant assistance will be provided on a need-based priority up to $10,000. Deadline to apply is January 31, 2021.
- Johnstown Small Business Micro Grant – Round 2 – To help support the small businesses, the Town appropriated additional funding for Round 2 of the Johnstown Small Business Micro Grant Program to provide grants to help small businesses immediately offset some of the economic impacts arising from the pandemic. Micro grants up to $15,000 will be available for small businesses in the Town.
